On behalf of Evans Family Law, in response to the situation with COVID-19, we wanted to communicate with our clients to address concerns and how we are ensuring the safety of our clients.
At this time, we are unable to see any walk-in clients, though persons are free to drop off documents.
We will be giving all clients the option of attending their appointments by telephone or videoconference, including new clients.
We are asking that any clients who are ill, experiencing symptoms, have travelled outside of Canada within the last two weeks, or have someone in their household who is ill, experiencing symptoms or has travelled outside of Canada within the last two weeks, to change their appointment to a telephone or videoconference appointment or to postpone their appointment.
Appointments that go forward will be as short as possible and we will be practicing social distancing by ensuring we do not shake hands and keeping a distance of six feet between people. We will be disinfecting surfaces and boardrooms after they’ve been used.
We are taking these steps in order to do our part to limit the spread of the virus and to keep our families, our clients and their families, and our community safe. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your lawyer directly or the firm at (204) 992-3240.
